The Parkersburg Utility Board was created in 1996 following a vote of the citizens of Parkersburg, to place the daily operational control of these utilities with an autonomous board. Since the Board’s creation and with the continued support of the community and Parkersburg’s City Council, the Board has made great strides in maintaining and improving both the water and sanitary sewer systems of the City of Parkersburg. The Board is committed to ensuring that the water and sanitary sewer systems will meet the current and future needs of the community, while maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations. The Board and its staff will continue to make needed improvements to increase the level of service provided to our customers and to promote economic development and help the community to grow and prosper.
