Press Release - Update BWA

Press Release

Attempts to flush the clearwell at the water treatment plant were unsuccessful and due to water levels in the major storage tanks in the distribution system becoming critically low, on Friday evening, it was necessary that we resumed operations at the treatment plant and begin pumping water to the distribution system.

Storage levels are near acceptable minimum levels and continue to rise. Operations personnel have received minimal calls related to discolored water in the distribution system. At this point we will begin making checks in the distribution system to determine if we can begin collecting samples or will need to perform additional flushing.

If extensive flushing is required the tanks will need to be brought to a level near full capacity before we begin the flushing process. At the current rate of pumping and consumption it would likely be morning before flushing could begin.

Following sampling, it will take 22 to 24 hours to receive results.
