End Boil Water Advisory

DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED

Customers of The Parkersburg Utility Board were notified on 1/10/2019

of a problem with our drinking water and were advised to boil the water before use.

We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil the water before use.

The treatment plant has been returned to normal operations. Flushing has occurred in problematic areas and bacteriological samples were collected from the affected area and analyzed at a certified laboratory.

We request that if customers experience discolored water, please run cold water in your bathtub for 5-10 minutes to remedy the issue. If it remains discolored after this please contact the water treatment plant at (304)424-8532 and report the issue.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

As always, you may contact us at our office by phone at (304) 424-8535 or visit or by mail at 125 19th Street Parkersburg, WV 26101 with any comments or questions.

Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses).
